Dear Elif, thank you for The Forty Rules of Love

Dear Elif, I´ve recently finished "The bastard of Istambul" and I´ve been deaply impressed by its message about the nature of past historical events, especially the painful ones - as I have understood it. No matter if one accepts or rejects certain historical events,if one takes responsibility about them or denies them, they can affect his/her today´s life in the most unexpeted ways, even if one is unaware about it. This is true both on the individual and the national level, no matter if one is on the victim´s side or on the violator´s one. In fact, the victim´s fate and the violator´s fate are interconnected in different ways and on multiple levels. I think it´s a great idea. Thank you for the revelation!

Hello Elif! I heard you on the Forum (BBC) today. I liked what you said. It was too short, though. I directly went to your web site, and I am going to read all your books.

Dear Mrs. Safak, Two months ago I finished reading Ask, and I have to say that the book made me think a lot on various matters. Great depth, and questioning at many levels. I liked in particular the shift in times, and the book perpends the reality of the contemporary time. Some stories are ageless, valid forever, and Love is one of them. I haven´t read in Turkish for ages now, but on my next trip to Istanbul, I will have to visit a bookstore and check some more what is written there. Thank you for reminding me this.

Dear Elif, I just finished reading "Aşk" and I am amazed with its beauty. It was like healing.. At every page I was drawn towards the storry, and I found my inner sufi. As the last but not the least, it warmed me up here in Netherlands away from my people. Thanks there you are and I am pleased that you wrote it..
