Greetings from sunny South Africa!
I have just read The Bastard of Istanbul and want to thank you for such a great story, your writing is so beautiful. I had the pleasure of visiting Istanbul last year and absolutely fell in love with it, your book brought back so many memories of my time there and reminded me what an amazing city it is. I will definitely be reading the rest of your books. You have immense talent

I read your book "Forty rules of love" at a time that I am discovering sufism and in the middle of reading Rumi´s Diwan-e-shems. I appreciate the way you brought Shems to life... much is said about the devout genius of Rumi but it would never have manifested without the brilliance of Shems. Thank you for writing this book. It came at an important time and is a beautiful piece of work.

Dear Elif Safak.
Just finished your book The Forty Rules of Love. Thank you for this beautiful reminder of love, life and following your heart/your truth despite society´s rules. Of course, it found me at a perfect time when I´m struggeling to find the balance as a mom, career woman, wife, and having time for ME. Thank you for reminding me that life is magical, that NOW is all we have, and following your heart NOW is more important than a secure future/"doing the right thing". Never really read too much about Sufism, but now I would like to learn more. Thank you again, thank you for speaking from your heart - to awaken ours.....

Dear Elif, my communication with you began today when I viewed your TED talk which fascinated me, very convincing, challenging and motivating. I immediately looked into your websites and reviews and listened to one of yr interviews. As you can read in many entries into yr guest book, you have the key to peoples heart, even before they finished reading a book of yours. And many confirm they are now rethinking important concepts (paradigma change). Same happens to me: Identity as an example. I admire your intuition and am now eager to read yr books. just joined your interest group in Facebk. Thanks for your work and the loving spirit in which they are written. Christoph/Bavaria
